Male Fertility Recipe: Black Bean Chili

Beans are a wonder food for male fertility. This super-easy recipe is hearty and filling, high in fiber, yet low in calories and fat and will boost those swimmers to increase your chances of conceiving!

  • 2 cans of beans
  • 4 cups water
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 1 carrot, chopped fine
  • 6 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons regular chili powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt (reduce to 1 tsp if using canned beans)
  • 1 teaspoon ancho chile powder
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle chile powder
  • 1/4 cup tomato paste

In a large soup pot, combine beans with 4 cups water and simmer for 60 minutes. Then add everything else. (easy, right?) Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 60-90 minutes more. Serve with avocado and cilantro.

Goes great with a side of rice or some crunch corn chips!
