When a couple has been trying to get pregnant for a while without success, it’s often the female partner’s fertility that first receives a question mark. But male infertility is a common problem, and a low sperm count is one of the most frequent reasons why a man cannot get his partner pregnant. Can you increase your sperm count with herbs?

Nutritional deficiencies certainly leave an impact on a man’s sperm health and sperm count. That’s right; infertility isn’t always caused by a structural problem, and can be resolved relatively easily with foods and mineral and vitamin supplements in some cases. Men who have a low sperm count, or who think they could possibly have a low sperm count (because their partner is not pregnant yet) should also avoid tight underwear and hot baths, as well as more obvious things like alcohol and smoking. But a man’s diet is hugely important to his fertility.

Since many herbs contains high amounts of vitamins and minerals, it’s not hard to acknowledge that it is possible to increase sperm count with herbs — even for people who steer clear of “alternative medicine”, and who are terrible skeptics. You may try some of these things:

  • Nettles. Stinging nettles are full of vitamins and minerals. They’ve got calcium, potassium, phosphorous and large amounts of iron. There’s also vitamins A, B, C, E, and K. Nettle leaf tea is a great supplement for anyone, and this general health boostercertainly won’t do your sperm count any harm.
  • Ginseng. Animals studies have shown that Korean ginseng has the potential to increase male sperm count. Try asking almost any Korean, and they will tell you that ginseng increases male fertility and libido. Mind you, this herb is not suitable for pregnant women.
  • Flaxseed oil, once again, boosts sperm count by promoting general health. This can be seen as one of the natural vitamin supplements out there.

Keep Cool.
